Job summary

Mt. Lebanon is seeking a Golf Course Assistant Maintenance Superintendent to assist with daily maintenance of the Mt. Lebanon Golf Course, buildings, grounds, and equipment.

The role includes turf management, irrigation work, and pesticide applications, with potential supervisory duties for part-time staff. Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED, have at least a year of full-time golf course maintenance experience, and obtain a PA Category 7 pesticide license within 6 months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year full-time golf course maintenance experience; supervisory/foreman preferred.
• PA Department of Agriculture Category 7 pesticide license required within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of a two-year turf grass management program preferred.
• Must obtain PA Class B CDL within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, and grounds; turf management, mowing, aerification, and chemical applications.
• Supervise part-time maintenance staff as needed.
• Operate, maintain, and repair golf course equipment and irrigation systems.
• Provide pesticide management and turf support for other municipal facilities.
• Maintain municipal garden plots and assist with special events and snow removal as required.
