Job summary

Colleton River Club is seeking a dedicated Greenskeeper in Bluffton, South Carolina. This role involves hands-on golf course maintenance, including mowing, edging, and debris removal. You'll maintain a clean and safe work environment while ensuring that all tasks are executed efficiently.

With a pay rate of $18 per hour and expected hours around 40 per week, you’ll enjoy a dynamic outdoor lifestyle. Additional perks include employee meals, anniversary rewards, and golf privileges.

Qualifications

• Ability to comprehend and learn tasks associated with golf course construction/maintenance.
• Working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools, as well as other equipment.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Mow greens, tees, collars, fairways, and roughs.
• Operate mowers, fly mowers, weed eaters, or other light equipment.
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers.
• Edge cart paths, bunkers, sprinkler heads, and drains.
• Prune and remove debris and pick up trash whenever observed.
• Sand and seed fairway, tee, and drop area divots.
• Clean and apply mulch or pine straw to beds.
• Utilize hand, garden, and landscape tools.
• Check and maintain fuel and fluid levels for all equipment daily.
• Perform visual inspection after each use and report problems to supervisors.
• Assist in the application of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers under supervision.
• Wear uniform and appropriate safety equipment at all times.
• Attend monthly agronomy and staff meetings.
• Be courteous to all members, guests, and co‑workers.
• Comply with all policies set forth in the Colleton River Club Employee Handbook.
• Cooperate in a team environment.
• Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
