Job summary

The Clustered Spires Golf Club, a municipal golf course in Frederick, MD, seeks a Mechanical Technician II to perform skilled maintenance on golf course equipment under general supervision.

Responsibilities include a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, diagnosing and repairing diesel, electric, and gasoline equipment, maintaining records, training staff, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance on and off the course.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of experience in small equipment repair.
• Vehicle Operator’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance and repair practices.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Oversees a preventive maintenance program for golf course equipment.
• Inspects and repairs diesel-, electric-, gasoline-powered equipment.
• Trains staff on preventive maintenance and safe operation of equipment.
• Prioritizes repair and maintenance work to meet course needs.
• Maintains records of equipment and parts purchases and costs.
