Job Summary Details:

The Lead Groundskeeper maintains property grounds by leading a team to perform routine tasks using standardized procedures specific to the landscape industry.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid Driver’s license
• No high school diploma, GED, or college degree required
• Experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Similar work experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Communicate work to crew members
• Ensure service expectations are met according to work schedule
• Report crew labor time
• Guide team members according to training and safety requirements
• Provide updates to leaders regarding crew performance
• Identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency
• Maintain property grounds
• Ensure proper maintenance of mowers, blowers, and sprinkler systems
• Perform removal, installation, and maintenance of plant material in beds and containers, and manual weeding
• Perform landscape maintenance duties including leaf removal, pruning, fertilizing, lawn care, and watering
• Assist in tree relocation
• Remove litter and empty trash cans
• Clean roads, parking lots, and walkways to ensure safety
• Perform basic carpentry and painting tasks
• Remove ice and snow, including applying ice melter and sand
• Establish new plants and plantings in landscape and greenhouse culture
• Use watering systems to ensure adequate moisture
• Perform safety checks on equipment and recommend maintenance
• Maintain safe work areas during and after projects
• Clean spills, including body fluids
