Chelsea Piers seeks a dedicated Maintenance Associate to join our Golf Club team in New York. You will perform a range of skilled trades tasks to keep facilities and equipment in top condition and ensure safety and cleanliness across the venue.

You will work both independently and with a team, prioritizing tasks from a supervisor and identifying issues for your own task list. Chelsea Piers offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, with trades such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing.
• Experience at a golf course or driving range is a plus.
• Ability to take direction and prioritize tasks.
• Identify necessary repairs and take initiative to resolve issues.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

Responsibilities

• Fix and maintain golf tee up machines and other golf-specific equipment.
• Follow a task list and prioritize based on business needs.
• Collaborate with venue personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to complete projects and work orders.
• Inspect facilities, systems, and components to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Identify repairs and perform maintenance in multiple trades (electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.).
• Install items and system components (cabinetry, walls, doors, hardware, office equipment, cables).
• Procure equipment and supplies with outside vendors to maintain inventory.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe operating condition.
• Assist with daily operations including picking golf balls and keeping hitting bays safe and clean.
• Assist with intake of golf club deliveries.
• Manage tasks for special projects such as snow removal and net repairs.
• Wear safety equipment, uniform, and nametag.
