Job summary

The City of Amarillo is seeking a Golf Cart Attendant to support outside golf operations, focusing on customer service, cart cleanliness, staging, and storage. The role works with the Superintendent and Assistant Professionals to provide a smooth experience for players.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, maintaining the driving range, operating carts to staging, cleaning carts and balls, and housekeeping of the pro shop.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be at least 16 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Flexible scheduling with potential nights, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable attendance and dependable performance.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers to ensure quality service and a positive golfing experience.
• Provide cordial assistance to customers as needed.
• Stay aware of the events calendar and course conditions.
• Follow city policies and procedures.
• Maintain driving range; pick up balls and manage range equipment safely.
• Pickup range baskets, wash balls and move range ropes.
• Drive carts to staging area; ensure carts are clean, in line and stored properly.
• Clean carts and balls; remove debris and spills; keep pro shop area tidy.
• Perform general housekeeping for the pro shop area.
• Assist with cart maintenance and report any damages.
• Keep work areas clean and report supply needs.
• Present a neat, professional appearance; follow supervisor guidance.
• Refer major problems to the superintendent or supervisor.
