Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Golf Cart Attendant/Starter/Ranger for Groesbeck Golf Course. You will maintain the cart fleet, ensure safety, fuel and charge carts, and keep the cart facility clean and organized.

You’ll assist with opening/closing procedures, support guest service, monitor pace of play, and help with events while staying professional and compliant with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior golf course experience preferred but not required.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Inspect golf carts for readiness and safety before and after use.
• Maintain fuel/charge levels, sand bottles, and routine upkeep.
• Document maintenance and handle opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with on-time starts, pace of play, and course etiquette.
• Support events and general golf course operations as needed.

Job description

POSITION: Golf Cart Attendant/Starter/Ranger

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Groesbeck Golf Course Manager

FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt

THE ROLE

The Golf Cart Attendant / Starter/Ranger at Groesbeck Golf Course is responsible for maintaining the daily readiness, cleanliness, and safe operation of the golf cart fleet and cart staging areas. This includes inspecting carts before and after use, ensuring proper fuel or charge levels, refilling sand bottles, performing routine preventative maintenance, monitoring tire pressure, washing carts, and maintaining a clean and organized cart facility.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

The position also requires accurate documentation of maintenance, proper sorting of recyclables, and completion of all opening and closing procedures while adhering to health, safety, and organizational standards.

In addition to equipment responsibilities, the role supports golf course operations and guest service by assisting with on-time starts, monitoring pace of play, providing guidance on course etiquette, and promptly reporting or helping resolve any issues that arise on the course. The attendant is expected to work cooperatively with staff, maintain a professional and positive demeanor, comply with all policies and safety regulations, and assist with special events, meetings, and other duties as assigned.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
