Job summary

Rouge Park Golf Course in Detroit, MI is seeking a Cart Attendant to join its golf operations team. The attendant reports to the General Manager or Golf Shop Supervisor and manages the golf cart fleet along with other duties as directed.

The role emphasizes customer service, strong communication, dependability, and a friendly demeanor while ensuring carts are ready for players and maintaining the cart barn.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer/guest orientation.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be dependable.
• Must have friendly personality and enjoy working with the public.
• Working knowledge of the rules of golf is preferred.
• Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintains professional appearance.
• Brings carts from the cart barn in the morning and returns carts to the cart barn at the end of the day.
• Cleans, waters, checks carts after each use and restocks as required.
• Cleans and maintains cart barn.
• Ensures the carts are available for player use at all times.
• Receives and communicates complaints to the Golf Shop.
• Works closely with Golf Shop staff to prepare and conduct golf tournaments.
• Implements and supports all course policies and programs as communicated by management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
