Job summary

Grand View Lodge is seeking a Golf Beverage Cart Server for the seasonal Nisswa, MN area. You will travel the golf course providing friendly beverage service directly to guests and members, while handling payments and maintaining cart inventory.

The role requires 18+ years old with strong guest service, cash handling, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Prior hospitality or beverage experience is preferred and flexibility is needed for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, attentive beverage service along golf routes.

  • Maintain knowledge of food and beverage offerings and pricing.
  • Follow alcohol service policies and verify IDs when required.
  • Complete opening/closing procedures and handle payments accurately.
  • Ensure cart cleanliness and proper storage after shifts.

The Golf Beverage Cart Server plays an important role in creating an exceptional golf experience for guests and members of Grand View Lodge. This position travels throughout our beautiful golf courses providing convenient and friendly food and beverage service directly on the course.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests and members throughout the golf course.
  • Safely operate a beverage cart along designated golf course paths and service areas.
  • Maintain knowledge of available food and beverage selections, pricing, specials, and resort offerings.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Follow responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying identification when required.
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer additional beverages, snacks, or refreshments throughout their round.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, member charges, and other approved forms of payment.
  • Properly complete receipts and obtain guest signatures when required.
  • Stock and restock the beverage cart with beverages, food, ice, cups, napkins, and other necessary supplies.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels and accurately track products taken, sold, and returned during each shift.
  • Keep the beverage cart clean, organized, fueled or charged, and ready for service.
  • Complete opening and closing procedures, including properly storing the beverage cart at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor the beverage cart for maintenance or safety concerns and promptly report any issues to a supervisor.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, cash-handling, and resort policies and procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of golfers and course activity to provide service without unnecessarily interrupting play.
  • Assist with additional golf or food and beverage responsibilities as needed to support the overall guest experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Strong guest service and communication skills with a friendly and approachable personality.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining connected and responsive to the golf and food and beverage teams.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash and process guest transactions.
  • Comfortable driving and operating a beverage cart safely in varying outdoor and course conditions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain professional during busy periods.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently reach, bend, and perform repetitive movements.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, sun, wind, and light rain.
  • Must be available to work a flexible resort schedule, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous customer service, serving, bartending, golf, or hospitality experience is preferred.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous food and beverage or customer service experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and responsible alcohol service preferred.
  • Previous experience in a golf course, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment is a plus.
