NOVA Parks is seeking a Beverage Cart Attendant to operate and maintain the beverage cart on the golf course in Sterling, VA. The role pays $14.75 per hour and includes selling food and beverages, including beer, while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

The position requires 21+ years of age, a valid driver's license, and experience in food service. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is needed, with uniform provided or purchased. Training and meetings are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old per Virginia ABC requirement.
• Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver's license.
• Experience in operation of food service facilities.
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and ability to adhere to them.
• TIPS certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to handle money and maintain accurate records.
• Strong customer service and public interaction skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Uniform must be purchased and worn.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the beverage cart service daily, maintain supplies and stock levels, and handle cash and inventory.
• Ensure NOVA Parks safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards are followed, including Virginia ABC and Local Health Dept. rules.
• Greet park visitors, handle inquiries, provide information, and inform patrons of rules.
• Prepare and stock beverage cart; sell food and beverages including beer (beer only).
• Prepare and oversee special functions (golf tournaments).
• Prepare and maintain appropriate records.
• Perform cleaning and routine maintenance as directed.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training.
• Report unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by Park Manager or Supervisor on Duty.
