Job summary

Wintonbury Hills Golf Course is seeking personnel for golf and grounds maintenance. The role focuses on maintaining the course and related grounds in a hospitality-driven environment, with training provided to help you succeed.

Responsibilities include operating hand and power tools, outdoor work in early mornings, and weekend half-days as needed. Competitive $20/hour pay is offered with opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds with relative ease.
• Must be able to perform physical work outdoors.
• Prior Landscape or Golf Course Maintenance experience is helpful, but not required.
• Understanding of the game of golf is helpful, but not necessary.
• Operate hand and power tools and equipment for course maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools as needed in maintaining various areas of the golf course.
• Assist in general grounds maintenance and upkeep as directed.
• Work early mornings and seasonal weekend half-days, outdoors.

Club Information: Public 18-hole championship golf course, built in 2001, designed by famed architect, Pete Dye with Tim Liddy. Good assortment of maintenance equipment with a replacement program being implemented. Many projects are in the planning stages to improve agronomics, turf health, design, and playability. Wintonbury Hills is owned by the Town of Bloomfield and operated by Indigo /Troon Golf Management, the largest golf management company in the world.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds with relative ease.
• Have ease and freedom of mobility, this is a physical position.
• Prior Landscape and or Golf Course Maintenance experience is helpful, but not necessary.
• Have an understanding of the game of golf is helpful, but not necessary
• Responsibilities include but not limited to - operation of hand and power tools, powered equipment as needed in maintaining various and specific areas of the golf course and grounds.
• Working early mornings, and seasonal weekend ½ day / week, mostly outdoors.

Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be able to easily lift 50 pounds. Must be energetic, willing to learn, listen to instructions and training careful. Must be punctual and possess a solid work ethic. Early morning start, no exceptions.
