Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician for our Goldstrike underground operations in Nevada. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on surface and underground fixed mining equipment, including crushers, conveyors and pumps, while upholding strict safety standards.

The role requires knowledge of conveyors, pumps and fabrication skills; familiarity with hydraulics/pneumatics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of conveyor systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair pumps.
• Basic fabrication skills including welding, cutting, brazing, arc welding, and air arc.
• Ability to identify parts needed for repairs by make, model, size, and type (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and applying those skills to troubleshoot/repair systems (preferred).
• Ability to read/use precision measuring tools, torque wrenches, and hand tools (preferred).
• Excellent safety and attendance record (required).
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential functions of the job (required).

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Underground Fixed Maintenance Supervisor, the Underground Fixed Maintenance Technician is responsible for the following:
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair of both surface and underground fixed mining equipment such as crushers, conveyors, concrete mixing systems, pumps etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned
