Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. is seeking a Restaurant Server for Gold Dust West Elko. You will greet guests, take orders, and provide efficient dining service in a lively gaming and entertainment environment.

Salary starts at $12.00 per hour with tips plus a comprehensive benefits program. This full-time hourly position requires excellent communication and the ability to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Clear communication with guests and team members.
• Accurate cash handling and POS operation.
• Basic computer knowledge for schedules and membership systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide table service.
• Maintain clean work area and professional appearance.
• Assist guests with questions about activities on the property.
• Support bussers and bussing of tables.
• Practice responsible alcohol service (TIPS).

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Familiarity with all menu items, menu prices and hours of operation & promotions
• Maintain a clean work area, professional appearance, and present positive customer service techniques
• Provide service to guests while dining
• Assist Busser in pre-bussing of tables
• Set up or close of wait station
• Clean stations and tables
• Complete daily side work
• Assist guests with questions regarding activities on the property
• Practice TIPS awareness and the responsible serving of alcohol

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Strong communications skills
• Basic computer knowledge and cash handling skills
• Knowledge of Infogenesis & Patron systems helpful
• Identification that establishes identity
• Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States
