Gold Dust West Carson City in Carson City, NV, is seeking an Executive Housekeeper to lead housekeeping for the property featuring 148 rooms, a 32-lane Bowling Center, a full-service Grille Restaurant, and an RV Park. You will supervise staff, ensure clean, high-quality accommodations, and coordinate with maintenance to address repairs.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong English communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English (Spanish preferred)
• 2 yrs hotel housekeeping with supervisory experience preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
• Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise housekeeping personnel to ensure smooth operations
• Plan and prepare weekly schedules based on occupancy
• Adjust schedules to meet operational demands
• Enforce company and departmental policies and procedures
• Issue counseling notices and/or disciplines as needed
• Conduct daily inspections of hotel rooms and related areas to maintain quality
• Coordinate painting/repairs with Maintenance for guest rooms and other areas
• Maintain inventory of chemicals and supplies for housekeeping
• Requisition missing items as needed
• Promote positive customer service by addressing guest complaints
• Prepare and submit required department paperwork and reports
• Train housekeeping staff on technical and safety procedures

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Responsible for overseeing and supervising the activities of the housekeeping personnel to ensure the smooth flow of the housekeeping operations
• Plans and prepares the weekly schedule of the housekeeping personnel to ensure the proper overage is afforded daily based on projected hotel occupancy
• Makes necessary changes on the schedule to meet operational demands
• Enforces all company and departmental policies and procedures
• Issues counseling notices and/or disciplines employees who violate same
• Conducts daily inspections of hotel rooms and related areas to ensure that the set quality standards are maintained
• Coordinates and/or follows up requests for painting or repairs to be done in the guest rooms and other areas of the hotel with Maintenance
• Maintains and inventory of chemicals and supplies needed in the housekeeping department
• Makes requisition of the lacking items as the need arises
• Promotes positive customer service by assisting guests in addressing their complaints and resolving their problems
• Prepares and submits all required paperwork and reports of the department.
• Trains all housekeeping personnel on both technical and safety procedures to be followed

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

• Basic computer knowledge, phone etiquette and hotel housekeeping experience
• Experience in customer service and hotel industry required
• Must be fluent in English--Spanish preferred
• Must have strong communication skills
• High School Diploma or Equivalent Work Experience
• 2 yrs hotel housekeeping with at least 1 year supervisory experience preferred
• Identification that establishes identity
