Job summary

PlacingIT is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Atlanta engineering team. You will work across Golang-based backend services, GraphQL APIs, and internal platform tooling to improve developer productivity and reliability.

The role focuses on cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes operators, CI/CD, and observability, offering opportunities to own technical challenges and drive scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Golang (Go).
• Experience building GraphQL backend APIs with Golang.
• Experience with Kubernetes CRDs and operators.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software and platform engineering solutions.
• Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and developer tools using Golang.
• Develop and maintain CLI tools to automate engineering workflows.
• Design, implement, and maintain GraphQL backend APIs in Go.
• Develop and support Kubernetes CRDs and operators.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems.
