Responsibilities

Job description

• Take end-to-end ownership of project delivery within established architectural frameworks, driving solutions autonomously from initial concept through successful deployment.
• Architect, build, and optimize robust, high-throughput Go-based data ingestion pipelines, focusing on advanced concurrency, back-pressure management, buffering, and resilient retry logic.
• Develop and manage data collection and device polling mechanisms for diverse IoT and OT telemetry protocols, optimizing the write pathways into time-series databases.
• Conduct rigorous performance profiling to minimize latency and memory footprint while maximizing throughput, with a specific focus on edge computing and resource-constrained environments.
• Engineer clean, highly scalable, testable, and secure client-side code that adheres to premier quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership on system resiliency and fault isolation design, while consistently engaging in thorough code reviews and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
• Contribute to precise project estimation, scoping, and sprint planning using standard project methodologies.
• Facilitate seamless knowledge transfer from preceding teams and actively mentor and onboard incoming engineering talent.
• Play an active role in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and broader governance processes.
• Champion engineering excellence by participating in Communities of Practice (CoPs), sharing knowledge, and fostering the technical growth of peers and project teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, featuring extensive and proven expertise in Go (Golang).
• Deep understanding of performance engineering and advanced concurrency concepts, including goroutines, channels, memory allocation tuning, benchmarking, and profiling.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network protocols with practical experience in protocol-level debugging and packet capture analysis.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying high-volume data streaming or ingestion pipelines in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB or similar), particularly regarding schema design, tag optimization, and write performance tuning.
• Demonstrated ability to build highly scalable, performant, and heavily tested enterprise-grade systems.
• Solid background working within Agile development methodologies.
• Strong grasp of object-oriented design (SOLID principles) and familiarity with OWASP security practices.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Current authorization to work in the United States is strictly required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with IoT/OT telemetry and streaming protocols (e.g., MQTT, SNMP, NETCONF, syslog, gNMI). Note: This is highly desired, though foundational Go and networking skills take precedence.
• Experience utilizing Python for data manipulation, scripting, and tooling.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration platforms, specifically Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in modern system observability, including structured logging, distributed tracing, and metric instrumentation.
• Previous industry experience in critical infrastructure, industrial monitoring, DCIM, or data center environments.
• Practical knowledge of cloud-native application architectures and CI/CD pipeline automation.
