We are looking for a responsible, enthusiastic and trustworthy individual to serve as our Afternoon Supervisor.

• Support a positive environment through your enthusiasm, engagement in social
conversation, respectfulness in interactions and facilitation of positive peer interactions
• Schedule and prepare Godly Play lesson plans
• Maintain Godly Play manipulatives
• Instruct parents and staff regarding Godly Play philosophy, either directly or in
newsletter format
• Train Godly Play Gatekeepers
• Ensure the classroom environment is in compliance with the Department of Social
Services Standards for Licensed Child Day Centers, the National Association for the
Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS)
and the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality with children, families and staff
• Participate in program evaluations, monthly staff meetings, and required training
programs as mandated by the PDS and the DSS
Relationship Responsibilities:
• Possess program leader requirements as mandated through the DSS Standards for
Licensed Child Day Centers
• Conduct self in a manner worthy of a child’s respect, both on site and in the community
• Respond appropriately to authority and communicate well with coworkers and
supervisors
• Be able to lift 30 to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Possess stamina and mental clarity to work punctually and consistently for the assigned
shifts
