Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a Go focus to design and sustain backend services for the GEMSTONE platform. You will build scalable microservices, APIs, and cloud-native solutions in an Agile environment, with emphasis on security and performance.

The role involves collaborating with engineers, mission experts, and government stakeholders to deliver compliant, impactful software across DoD programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 1–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Go (Golang) in a professional or established open-source setting.
• Strong understanding of Goroutines and idiomatic design patterns in Go.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack software capabilities for GEMSTONE platform services.
• Contribute to backend services primarily using Go (Golang).
• Build and maintain RESTful, gRPC, GraphQL, and event-driven APIs.
• Support Kubernetes-based microservices and cloud-native architectures.
• Collaborate with platform engineers, cybersecurity engineers, product owners, and government stakeholders.
• Develop technical documentation and architecture artifacts.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and sprint demonstrations.
• Assist CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to enable releases.
