Job summary

Cimarron Software Services, Inc. seeks a GNOSC Mission Support Team Protection Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

This is a 100% onsite, full-time role requiring Secret clearance and US citizenship. Responsibilities include coordinating with government stakeholders to prevent conflicts with flight tests and exercises, and ensuring security and ITSM processes are applied within the MDIOC and related networks.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required at the time of hire.
• A valid Real ID-compliant driver’s license or state ID is required.
• At least 6 months of related IT or systems operations experience.
• Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (or higher) at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, deconflict and approve actions within the MDA TF network, MDIOC, and Schriever AFB.
• Collaborate with government customers to prevent conflicts and mitigate impacts to flight tests, ground tests and exercises.
• Support base-level work at Schriever Space Force Base by the 50th Communications Squadron / CFP.

Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking aGNOSC Mission Support Team Protection Engineerto supportthe Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.

Key Duties:

• Serve as the central coordinating authority responsible for:
  • Reviewing
  • Deconflicting
  • Approving
• All work being done within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) /Transformation Task Force (TF) network, all facility and operational service work performed by the Facilities Engineering and Operations (FE&O) team in the Missile Defense Integration and Operations Center (MDIOC), and all baselevel work executed on Schriever Space Force Base by the 50th Communications Squadron (50 CS) / Communications Focal Point (CFP).
• This coordination is conducted in close collaboration with government customers and stakeholders to prevent conflicts and mitigate potential impacts to high-profile Flight Tests (FTs), Ground Tests (GTs), and joint military exercises.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. • 6or moremonths of directly related/progressive IT experience or systems operations experience
• Demonstrated experience operating in dynamic, high-consequence operational or test environments, managing shifting mission priorities, and rapidly resolving emergent technical/scheduling conflicts.
• Active DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GSEC, or SSCP) or higher at the time of hire.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Working knowledge of the ITIL framework, particularly Incident, Problem, Change, and Continual Service Improvement processes. Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) inspection processes.
• Hands-on experience utilizing MDA Helix ITSM (BMC Remedy), SolarWinds network monitoring, DoD 365 SharePoint collaboration tools, and DISA Power BI analytics environments.
• Practical knowledge and experience in network design, implementation, and routing/switching protocols and devices.
• Practical experience with DISA-mandated security tools (e.g., Assured Compliance Assessment Solution [ACAS], Host Based Security System [HBSS]), analyzing vulnerability scans, and formulating compliance reports.
• Familiar with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) authentication and Information Security best practices in a secure government network environment.
