Job summary

Redwire Space in Marlborough, MA is seeking a GNC Sensors Engineer to join the Optics and Algorithms team. You will work at the interface of electronics, software and optics to develop algorithms for satellite navigation and spacecraft guidance, presenting results to customers and interfacing with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes sensor modeling, Kalman filter development and integration with star trackers, sun sensors, IMUs, and cameras.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field with related experience in GNC, estimation, sensor fusion, or robotics perception.
• Coursework or industry experience in GNC and navigation algorithms is preferred.
• Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink or Python-based simulation environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform design-support analyses for sensor selection, performance prediction, and early concept development.
• Model, characterize, and analyze sensor performance including noise and error propagation.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems, and software engineers to ensure end-to-end sensor reliability.
