Job description

  • Schedule - Shift - Hours: Full-time - Night shift - 7:00pm-7:30am
UNIT SUMMARY

The Brain Health Unit is comprised of two 40-bed units and boasts more than 100 staff members. Staff members in the BHU are good communicators and are able to set boundaries, hold confidences, and establish and maintain trust. Patients in the BHU are admitted with medical and psych diagnoses. The length of their stay is 23 days, which provides an opportunity for clinical staff to analyze a patient's behavior and cultivate a relationship that may help a patient see him- or herself in a better way. During their stay, patients will receive help with medication management and rehabilitation services if needed. Staff members will also assist in engaging patients in group activities and one-on-one exercises.

JOB SUMMARY

Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living while maintaining a safe and clean environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma or GED equivalent; C-GNA licensure, CPR/First Aid; Communication devices, Synquest and basic computer skills, Hoyer lift and specialty beds, Basic medical equipment; Prefer 2-3 years Medical, Dementia, and Behavioral Health experience.
