Purpose/Belief Statement

The position of Geriatric Nursing Assistant exists to provide routine nursing and personal care for residents to ensure the highest quality of resident care. This role requires effective teamwork, resource management, and a focus on delivering compassionate, respectful care.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.
• Provide personal/nursing care according to resident care plans.
• Facilitate and conduct activities.
• Respond to resident requests and needs with dignity and respect.
• Maintain a clean, pleasant environment.
• Assist in preparing residents for activities.
• Perform basic nursing procedures as required.
• Create a safe and comfortable environment.
• Meet resident food service needs timely and compassionately.
• Maintain documentation of activities and resident records.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Attend training and orientation to maintain certification.
• Perform other activities as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligible to enter and complete such a program within 120 days of employment.
