Job summary

Comfi-Kare Homecare Services in Maryland is seeking experienced Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to provide non-medical in-home care to seniors. You will assist with daily living activities and support clients in maintaining comfort and independence.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and documentation. Requires Maryland GNA certification; CPR preferred; must pass background checks and provide two professional references.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland GNA certification is required.
• Current CPR certification is preferred.
• Must pass background check and provide two professional references.
• TB test (PPD), QuantiFERON Gold or CXR may be required.

• Help clients move safely and transfer from bed or chair.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Monitor vital signs and report changes to nurses or family.

Job Overview

Comfi-Kare Homecare Services is currently hiring experienced Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNA’s) to provide high-quality, non-medical in-home care to seniors in Maryland.

GNA Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Help clients move safely, walk, or transfer from bed/chair
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs and client condition
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Perform light housekeeping related to patient care
• Remind clients about medications
• Maintain a safe and clean environment
• Document care provided and report changes to nurses or family.

GNA Requirements

• Active Maryland GNA certification
• Current CPR certification (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• Ability to pass background check
• Ability to provide 2 professional references
• You will need PPD, QuantiFERON Gold or CXR
