GN Operator Associate I (FOAMS Extrusion)

Available shifts: TBD

Operator Compensation

• Starting rate $17-$22 / hour

Responsibilities

1. Operate GN machine and package products at standard speed with correct manning.
2. Perform product attribute tests, complete hour-by-hour sheets, and ensure proper count. Support plant food product safety programs and initiatives.
3. Maintain housekeeping: Keep work area clean throughout the shift following 5S guidelines.
4. Reclaim Handling: Remove scrap and grind in correct grinder.
5. Work Safely: Follow all safety rules and wear PPE.
6. Support the team: Be flexible, help others, actively learn, and ask questions.
7. Training: Mentor and train new employees, accept feedback, and pursue self-development.

Other Responsibilities

• Inspect products for defects and pack finished goods correctly.
• Notify supervisor of quality issues.
• Make minor machine adjustments to ensure quality and minimize interruptions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Complete GN Operator Training packet.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detailed record keeping.
• Analytical and math skills (using calculators for production data).
