The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) seeks talented individuals for an engineering position in Taylor, TX. This role will provide engineering support across Grid and Market applications while offering valuable experience in electric power systems engineering.
Successful candidates will ideally possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, with coursework in Power Systems preferred. The job includes a mix of remote work and on-site requirements. A comprehensive benefits package is provided.
ERCOT’s Grid & Market Solutions (GMS) Development Program (GDP) is a 12–16 month program designed to provide entry level and early career professionals with the skills necessary to be successful Power System and Computer Engineers. The program is based in the Grid & Market Solutions Department and offers experience in day‑to‑day work and instruction in the fundamentals of electric power systems engineering, grid and market applications, software programming, and IT service and operations management.
No minimum work experience required beyond degree requirements.
Previous internship in the power industry or power‑related project coursework in Power Systems.
Employees will be required to be on‑site in Taylor, TX at a minimum of 2 days per week, or more, as needed. Remote work is required to be performed from a Texas residence. Employees may opt to work on‑site more than required or 100% of the time. Work arrangements are subject to business needs and may change accordingly.
Target Start Date: Between June‑August 2026.
