Job summary

Bayer Berkerley is seeking a Utilities Specialist to support utilities operations, develop training materials, and manage SOPs and system documentation in a GMP environment. You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to ensure reliable and compliant utility services at the Berkeley site.

The role requires a BS/BA in Engineering with 3+ years in GMP utilities, plus experience with SAP/CMMS and P&ID management.

Qualifications

• Have a bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Engineering or related discipline and at least 3 years of GMP utilities or maintenance experience.
• Solid GMP manufacturing experience providing technical, maintenance, or utility support for production equipment and systems.
• Strong knowledge of utility systems and safety, quality, and compliance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for utility operations to ensure reliable, safe, efficient, and compliant performance.
• Develop and maintain training content and materials for utilities personnel to build capability and safety mindset.
• Complete weekly utility trend reviews; analyze performance and trends and input into investigations as required.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and Energy Control Plans for utility systems with clear guidance for safe operations.
• Revise P&IDs and related engineering docs to reflect changes and maintain GMP standards.
• Manage small utility-related projects from initiation to completion with basic PM practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives enhancing system reliability and sustainability.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and support uninterrupted market supply.
