Job summary

Bachem is seeking a Quality Control Scientist for a 6-month assignment in the United States. The role involves daily QC testing, documentation, and collaboration with the QC Director to ensure GMP compliance.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with potential extension or temp-to-hire. The successful candidate will perform raw material and final product testing, maintain QC documents, and support analytical method validations using HPLC/UPLC, GC, UV, and related instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field is required.
• Master’s degree in chemistry or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' GMP pharma/biotech facility experience.
• Experience with analytical techniques/instruments: GC, HPLC/UPLC, UV-Vis.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform daily QC operations supporting the QC Director/Supervisor.
• Write and revise control documents (specifications, SOPs, STMs).
• Verify QC equipment for GMP compliance in coordination with QC leadership.
• Follow GMP procedures and document testing per SOPs and protocols.
• Test, review, and release raw materials used in manufacturing for GMP compliance.
• Test and release final product peptide and in-process control samples.
• Maintain GC, HPLC/UPLC, UV spectrophotometry data and documentation.
• Investigate deviations or out-of-spec results and support validations.
