Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Analytical Chemist for a Verona, WI site. The role focuses on testing and releasing raw materials in a GMP setting, with planned growth into HPLC and GC work. Training is strong, offering exposure to diverse instrumentation and cross-team opportunities.

The position is contract-to-hire with on-site work, shift from 11:30am–8:00pm Mon-Thu and 9:30am–6:00pm Fri. Initial duties include wet chemistry tests and documentation, with progression to advanced analyses and method

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or life science with analytical focus.
• Completion of analytical chemistry coursework during undergrad.
• GMP environment experience or training considered.

Responsibilities

• Test incoming raw materials per USP/EP and internal specs before release.
• Perform wet chemistry tests: pH, IR, moisture, ID, titrations.
• Document results and deviations in notebooks and electronic systems.
• Assist in drafting and updating analytical protocols and methods.
• Progress to perform HPLC and GC analyses on materials.
