Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure plant equipment and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with Plant Manager on documentation and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in dairy or food manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in a GMP and/or FDA-regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience in a dairy processing or food manufacturing plant strongly preferred.
• Electrical certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.
• Maintain manufacturing, building, packaging, and utility systems, including compressed air, HVAC, boilers, chillers, and plumbing.
• Identify, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing equipment deficiencies throughout the plant.
• Perform minor facility repairs, including plumbing, painting, carpentry, fabrication (forming and welding), and general maintenance tasks.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all plant equipment.
• Source, identify, and order replacement parts as required.
• Communicate maintenance activities, issues, and status updates with the Plant Manager and maintenance leadership.
• Complete required maintenance documentation and daily logs in accordance with SOPs.
• Assist plant management with equipment specifications and fabrication planning as needed.
• Assist with initiatives to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and plant performance.
• Participate in root cause analysis for equipment failures and recurring issues.
• Provide on-call support per department procedures, including weekends, overtime, and emergency response as required.
