Job summary

Avantor in Boston, MA is hiring a Material Handler to support daily receiving, storage, and material issuance in a cGMP warehouse. You will handle inventory control, data entry in ERP (SAP/Oracle), and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure material readiness for manufacturing and labs.

The role requires you to perform cycle counts, manage lot tracking, and maintain strict safety and documentation practices in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cGMP supply chain environment.
• Experience with inventory management, material handling, warehouse operations in regulated settings preferred.
• Proficient use of ERP systems (SAP MM, Oracle) for inventory transactions and data management.
• Experience with barcode scanning and handheld data collection devices.
• Intermediate Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and Outlook skills.
• Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, lot tracking and expiration management.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, and issue materials per cGMP guidelines.
• Perform cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Operate ERP and warehouse management systems to process transactions.
• Proficiently use barcode scanners and handheld devices.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and address discrepancies.
• Support material transfers, packaging, and cold chain requirements.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and safety regulations.
