Job summary

ISS Facility Services - North America is seeking a GMP Floor Care Technician. The role covers cleaning hard surfaces, carpet maintenance, and operating floor care equipment to keep offices, corridors, lobbies, and other public areas in pristine condition.

  • Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers.
  • Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred.
  • Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitizations per GMP regulations in production areas (mop and/or wipe floors, wall ceilings, curtains, etc.).
  • Wear full PPE for extended periods of time.
  • Strictly adhere to Safety and GMP SOPs and perform related documentation clearly and legibly.
  • Floor care, including routine mopping, buffing, and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells.
  • Routine restroom cleaning.
  • Maintenance of floor care equipment.
  • Follow impairment procedures prior to performing work.
  • Document all floor cleaning per the schedule provided.
  • Perform daily audits to ensure floors maintain aesthetic appearance.
  • Position requires shift, weekend, and holiday work; overtime may be required at times.

Job description

Hourly Wage

ISS offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $18.50 per hour-$19.50 per hour based on experience.

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are Mon - Fri + Weekends, 6:00 am - 6:00 pm.

Key Purpose

GMP Floor Care Technicians keep the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas such as break rooms. They also keep assigned areas such as offices, commercial spaces, industrial spaces, or institutional buildings in clean and orderly condition. They work successfully with fellow employees, clients, and all levels of the organization while following both verbal and written instructions, and explain how to complete a task using basic communication skills.
