Job summary

Axogen is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician in Vandalia, OH to oversee the reliable operation and regulatory compliance of critical facility systems, including HVAC, refrigeration and electrical infrastructure. The role supports temperature-controlled storage of biologic products.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment modifications, vendor coordination, and ensuring GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–2 years of facilities maintenance experience.
• GMP/regulated industry experience preferred.
• CMRT certification required or preferred; EPA 608, HVAC and electrical licenses are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and reliability of critical facility systems including HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical infrastructure.
• Execute and manage preventive maintenance programs in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee modifications to facility equipment, furniture, and layouts.
• Manage contractors and vendors ensuring GMP, safety, and site hazards compliance.
• Respond to facility emergencies with minimal disruption to operations and product integrity.
• Maintain maintenance records and utilize site systems for tracking/reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, and operations teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
