Job summary

Abbott Lake County site is seeking a Housekeeping Associate to perform cleaning and support within manufacturing and research environments. This role requires adherence to GMP and regulatory standards across production and laboratory areas, including handling waste and maintaining documentation.

The position involves operating battery/electrical cleaning equipment, plus completing GMP records and training using a handheld computer.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required, candidate must complete initial training course provided by LC Housekeeping prior to working in regulated environments at Abbott Lake County site.
• Must be able to read and comprehend written information including Corporate Quality Documents, Cross Divisional Operating Procedures, Safety Guidelines and Operating Instructions.
• Must be able to complete accurate and legible written records in compliance with GMP when documenting work performed.
• Must be able to operate a computer to complete required compliance/technical training, download daily work instructions to handheld computer and sync back into the CMMS for GMP review.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility cleaning and support required for manufacturing and research environments.
• Follow GMP, SOP, DEA, OSHA, DEP and Abbott standards for regulated areas.
• Prepare cleaning solutions per GMP instructions and manage microbial control cleaning frequencies.
• Operate floor scrubbers, battery equipment, and basic maintenance on housekeeping devices.
• Complete GMP documentation attestation logs and work orders.
