Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to support day-to-day clinical manufacturing at the Leiden Center 1 facility. The role involves aseptic cell processing under cGMP, batch records review, and collaboration with Quality, EH&S and Facilities to ensure efficient production.

The candidate will lead by example, train peers, and maintain strict adherence to SOPs and batch records, ensuring patient-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP environment.
• Minimum 6 months experience with cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Solid communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical product manufacturing for cell therapy per cGMP standards.
• Demonstrates and assists others with aseptic technique.
• Assist in SOP development and documentation with Development and Quality.
• Coordinate materials and resources to support manufacturing activities.
• Ensure cGMP compliance through consistent execution.
