Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to lead day-to-day clinical manufacturing operations in a GMP environment. The role involves aseptic cell culture work, batch record interpretation, and collaboration with Quality, EH&S and Facilities to drive efficient operations.

The position requires 1+ year GMP experience and 6 months in cell culture, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP environment.
• Minimum 6 months experience with cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Basic computer skills including Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical product manufacturing for cell therapy according to cGMP standards, including assembling materials, following SOPs, aseptic technique, completing batch records, and reporting deviations.
• Demonstrate and assist others with aseptic technique.
• Support operations to ensure proper coordination of resources and maintain cGMP compliance.
