Job summary

Boston BioProducts is seeking a Production Technician for our Milford, MA operations. This hands-on role supports daily production activities, ensuring product quality and safety in a fast-paced lab environment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, and basic GMP/ISO knowledge. The position is 100% onsite (Mon-Fri) in Milford, MA, with local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, plus relevant work readiness.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in production or lab setting preferred.
• Fundamental knowledge of solutions and reagents, including properties, application and precautions.
• Fundamental knowledge of chemistry concepts such as molarity, concentration, and mass.
• Fundamental knowledge with dimensional analysis for dilutions and conversions.
• Fundamental knowledge of ISO standards and other applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs general housekeeping in compliance with standards.
• Demonstrates knowledge of GMP requirements and real-time documentation.
• Safeguards facilities, equipment, product and co-workers through careful practices.
• Adheres to manufacturing protocols and batch records for filtration and peer support.
• Assembles, cleans and operates production equipment (filters, pumps, pipettes, BSC, benches).
• Documents real-time production activities and maintains logs.
• Reviews documentation prior to record completion.
• Remains on top of daily/weekly tasks: stocking consumables, storing materials, QC sample delivery, disposal methods.
• Maintains training records and supports others in learning processes.
• Performs finished goods filtration and packing activities independently.
• Trains new technicians in filtration and packing tasks.
• Understands buffer compositions, molecular weights, concentrations and dilutions.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and operation of production equipment (pH meters, SUMs, fume hood, etc.).
• Prepares buffer solutions and stores intermediates properly.
• Independently manufacture in-stock buffers.
• Performs pH and buffer adjustments as needed.
