Job summary

Global Life Science Hub is seeking multiple Packaging Associates to support the Drug Product Biologics line in Chicago, on-site, with relocation assistance available.

This hands-on GMP role covers syringe labelling, blister packaging, serialization, cartoning and final product preparation, requiring strict adherence to SOPs, batch records and cGMP documentation, and collaboration with Manufacturing and QA teams to maintain quality and traceability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device or GMP‑regulated packaging environments.
• 1-2+ years for Associate I/II; 3-4+ years for Associate III.
• Experience operating pharmaceutical packaging equipment preferred.
• Exposure to labeling, blister packaging, serialization and/or aggregation equipment advantageous.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, SOPs and controlled documentation.
• Comfortable completing batch records and working within established manufacturing procedures.
• Basic troubleshooting skills for packaging equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with systems such as POMS, LIMS, SAP or NetSuite advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment including syringe labelling, blister packaging, check weighing, serialization, aggregation and tamper‑evident sealing systems.
• Perform packaging line inspections and line clearance.
• Visually inspect labelled syringes, blister packs, printed cartons and shipping materials for defects.
• Verify Drug Product syringes prior to the start of packaging operations.
• Perform manual cartoning and packaging of syringes and associated components.
• Complete product reconciliation, carton checks and palletisation activities.
• Complete batch records, logbooks and other cGMP documentation accurately and on time.
• Electronically record manufacturing and packaging process steps where required.
• Maintain packaging areas in accordance with cleanroom and GMP requirements.
• Identify and report non‑conformances or manufacturing events.
• Participate in investigations where required.
• Support Manufacturing and Visual Inspection activities when needed.
