Job summary

Inter-Con Security Systems, Inc. seeks a disciplined security operations supervisor for the General Motors account, overseeing security and fire staff at assigned sites and mentoring junior personnel.

You will ensure compliance with GM Global Security Manual and site SOPs, coordinate emergency response, and manage scheduling, training, and incident reporting. This role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and clear communications across diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Two years of progressively responsible Security or related experience—five preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of security operations required.
• Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision.
• Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
• Strong analytical skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrates planning, organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong diplomacy and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Ability to act decisively in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of security/fire staff at assigned site(s).
• Ensure compliance with GM Global Security Manual and site SOPs.
• Advise management on emergency situations and ensure appropriate responses.
• Develop and maintain staff deployment schedules meeting GM requirements.
• Ensure security staff are trained to perform GM requirements.
• Maintain records and reports per GM procedures and policies.
• Interface with GM site management to discuss security solutions and improvements.
• Conduct site vulnerability assessments and implement recommended actions.
• Coordinate with outside responders and ensure proper incident reporting.
