Base pay range

$145,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

The Global Markets Post-Trade IT team is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for Fixed Income, Equity/Securities Lending, and Credit Trading applications. Our responsibilities encompass both operational support (functional and technical) and project-related initiatives. The team engages in various phases of application development, including user needs assessment, analysis, design, implementation, delivery, support, and maintenance, all within an Agile framework.

We are seeking an Front Office IT Business Analyst specializing in the Equities Booking and Post-Trade domain, particularly in areas such as Equity Derivatives and Securities Lending. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Front Office mainly, as well as the support functions. He/She/They will provide support to end users and manage projects ranging from small enhancements to large-scale initiatives, including business expansion, P&L, risk, regulatory, and operational evolutions, as well as strategic efforts aimed at modernizing legacy applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis / Project Management:

  • Collaborate closely with user representatives (traders, risk, operations personnel, etc.) to gather and document business requirements.
  • Conduct and document impact and gap analyses.
  • Evaluate IT solutions to determine the best fit for business needs.
  • Develop detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
  • Define and execute test scripts.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Engage in project scoping and planning, progress reporting, and the identification and management of issues and risks, ensuring effective communication throughout.

Functional Support / Maintenance:

  • Provide day-to-day support for Booking, Risks and Back Office applications, including booking, risk and P&L, straight-through processing, settlement, clearing, reporting, and accounting.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT business analysis within the finance industry.
  • Functional understanding of Equity Derivatives and Securities Lending activities and products from trading/pnl and risk prespective.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Equity trading systems systems (Sophis or equivalent like Murex, Calypso), including PnL and risk management.
  • Familiarity with trading systems such as Smart Loan, Loanet, and Broker Dealer systems (e.g., Phase 3/Shadow Suite).
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, coupled with the ability to propose effective solutions to complex problems.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and methodologies.

The salary range for this position will be between $145,000 - $180,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
