Job description

Color is revolutionizing cancer care with the nation’s first Virtual Cancer Clinic, delivering high-quality, physician‑led multidisciplinary care across all 50 states. Our innovative, guideline‑based approach spans cancer screening, risk assessment, prevention, diagnosis, treatment support, and survivorship. In addition to personalized direct medical care, our services include cancer genetics risk assessment, nutrition, mental health support and at‑home cancer screening diagnostics. Using technology‑driven, patient‑centric solutions, Color is transforming how employers, unions, health plans, and governments address cancer. Color’s goal is to close critical cancer care gaps, improve cancer outcomes, and guide patients with empathy through their healthcare journeys.

Apply to join Color and do the most meaningful work of your career. If you are not sure that you’re 100% qualified but are up for the challenge – we want you to apply!

About The Role

Color’s ASCO Certified oncology care programs are designed for one of the most complex and human moments in healthcare: helping patients through an active cancer diagnosis and treatment with trusted clinical care and support. This is a rare opportunity to bring dedicated ownership to innovative work already underway, helping focus and accelerate how Color’s oncology care programs grow, scale, and reach more people.

As the General Manager for Oncology Care, you will serve as the business owner for a critical product and service line at Color. You will guide program strategy, product direction, commercial growth, and market presence, working across teams to ensure the offering is clinically strong, operationally scalable, commercially compelling, and deeply useful to patients and customers.

This is a principal‑level individual contributor role for someone who can bring clarity to complex and incredibly impactful work. You will help define where the program goes next, how it evolves, how it is brought to market, and how it delivers value across the full experience, from patient care to customer partnership to business performance.

You will partner closely with Color’s executive leadership in commercial, operations, product, marketing and clinical as well as Color’s CEO and President, and you will be an important voice in strategic conversations with health plans, employers, and other healthcare stakeholders. The role requires both vision and precision: the ability to see what cancer care can become, and the discipline to build the path there with a strong team.

This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and offers meaningful ownership in a growing area of Color’s business as we continue to expand access to high‑quality cancer care.

What You’ll Own
Program Strategy and Business Ownership
  • You will help define and advance the strategy for Color’s oncology care programs, including how the offering evolves, where we focus, and how we measure success.
  • You will translate patient needs, customer priorities, clinical insight, and market signals into clear product, service, and business priorities.
  • You will develop business cases for new capabilities, program improvements, and expansion opportunities, balancing patient impact, customer value, operational feasibility, and business outcomes.
Product and Service Development
  • You will partner with go‑to‑market, clinical, product, engineering, and operations teams to bring new capabilities from concept through launch and ongoing improvement.
  • You will help ensure the program works well end to end, including the patient and clinician experience, customer experience, clinical workflows, operating models, and supporting technology.
  • You will bring structure to ambiguous problems, help teams make thoughtful trade‑offs, and keep execution moving with focus and discipline.
Commercial Strategy and Customer Engagement
  • You will own Color’s oncology care programs go‑to‑market strategy, and shape how they are communicated to the market, including the customer value proposition, core narrative, positioning, packaging, launch approach, pricing of new products, and materials that support commercial conversations.
  • You will partner with sales and account teams on strategic customer conversations, renewals, and feedback from the market.
  • You will develop and maintain sales playbooks, pitch messaging, objection handling, and competitive intelligence.
  • You will serve as a credible external voice for the Oncology Care Programs with healthcare buyers, partners, and industry audiences.
  • You will develop deep buyer fluency across payers, employers, and cancer centers that accelerates deals and builds trust.
  • You will be the go‑to person on the market at Color, including how it’s evolving, how to keep ahead of competitors, and early signals of market interest.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
  • You will act as a connective leader across clinical, product, operations, commercial, marketing, and customer teams.
  • You will help align priorities, clarify decisions, and ensure teams are working from a shared understanding of what matters most.
  • You will be accountable for advancing the program in a way that reflects Color’s standards for clinical quality, customer trust, operational excellence, and patient impact.
Who You Are
  • You are a builder and an operator. You have helped bring healthcare products, services, or care delivery programs to market and understand what it takes to move from idea to adoption, scale, and measurable impact.
  • You have been the external face of a business or program and conveyed credibility and expertise. You have presented at industry conferences, led senior sales conversations, and made complex clinical programs sound clear and compelling to a payer VP or a benefits director.
  • You are equally comfortable with product strategy and commercial execution. You can understand buyer needs, shape a compelling offering, support customer conversations, and work through the operational details required to deliver.
  • You bring strong healthcare judgment, ideally with meaningful exposure to oncology, specialty care, care delivery, payer models, employer benefits, or health technology.
  • You communicate with clarity and credibility. You can make complex clinical and operational topics understandable to senior buyers, partners, and internal teams without oversimplifying them.
  • You are highly effective in ambiguity. You seek ground truth, separate signal from noise, are willing to experiment creatively, and make thoughtful and clear decisions even with imperfect information.
  • You are collaborative by default. You know how to lead through influence, create alignment across teams, and hold yourself to high standards and bring that same expectation to the work around you.
  • You care deeply about improving the experience of cancer care for patients and families, and you are motivated by the opportunity to build programs that can reach people at scale, and that use technology to create a better model of cancer care delivery.
What You Bring
  • 15+ years of professional experience, with meaningful tenure in health technology, healthcare delivery, oncology, specialty care, payer, employer benefits, or related fields in high‑growth environments.
  • A background that spans both product or program strategy and commercial execution.
  • Fluency with healthcare buyers, payer, employer, and/or cancer center economics and incentives.
  • Hands‑on experience with go‑to‑market work such as positioning, launch planning, sales enablement, customer discovery, strategic sales support, pricing, packaging, and/or direct selling.
  • External credibility with customers, partners, industry audiences, or senior healthcare stakeholders. You have been the external face of a business or program and have presented at panels, keynotes, sales meetings.
  • Experienced, reliable judgment in complex, ambiguous, or high‑stakes environments. People who have worked with you will say you go deep on the details of the problem to make hard calls well and get the details right.
  • Comfort operating in a high‑growth environment where priorities evolve, ownership is broad, and strong accountability and cross‑functional partnership is essential.
  • Empathetic leader and communicator who can rally an organization and external stakeholders around an important priority and lead to execute effectively.
What We Offer

  • 401k match
  • Monthly phone and wifi stipend for employees, annual ergonomic stipend
  • Generous vacation policy, paid holidays and company‑wide recharge days
