Job summary

Jerry Seiner North Salt Lake GMC is seeking a seasoned GM Master / A-Level Technician to join our award-winning service team in North Salt Lake, UT. You’ll diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform advanced drivability diagnostics, and complete major engine/transmission repairs to GM standards.

We offer competitive flat-rate pay ($45-$60+ per hour), bonuses up to $30,000, comprehensive medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off from day one, and ongoing GM factory

Qualifications

• GM Master Technician certification preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience.
• Advanced diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing major engine, transmission, and driveline repairs.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on GM vehicles.
• Perform advanced drivability, electrical, engine performance, transmission, HVAC, steering, suspension, and diesel diagnostics.
• Complete major engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs to GM standards.
• Utilize GM GDS2, Techline Connect, and other factory diagnostic tools.
• Perform warranty repairs while maintaining GM quality standards.
• Mentor and assist apprentice and lower-level technicians as needed.
• Accurately document inspections, diagnostics, repair recommendations, and completed work.
• Maintain productivity while delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

• Current GM Master Technician certification strongly preferred


• Minimum 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience


• Advanced diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills


• Experience performing major engine, transmission, and driveline repairs


• ASE Certifications are a plus


• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record


• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment


• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality repairs
