GM Inside Sales Account Manager - Continental US

Job Overview

The Inside Sales Account Manager role is part of the Discovery Commercial organization, supporting the Continental West region of the US and Canada. This remote position reports to the US Continental Zone Leader and is part of the Genomic Medicine Account Management Team.

Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement account-specific business plans, including customer goals, strategic initiatives, opportunity development, relationship mapping, and competitive threat analysis.
  2. Manage your pipeline and sales targets proactively, reviewing conversion rates, bottlenecks, and speed to close.
  3. Create proposals, generate quotes, negotiate with stakeholders, and finalize product specifications.
  4. Coordinate with Customer Service to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and communicate any changes to customers.
  5. Lead the account team through the sales cycle from opportunity discovery to deal closure.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant sales experience.
  • Exceptional prospecting skills via telephone, with problem-solving abilities and organized follow-up.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication skills to convey value, product quality, and capabilities confidently.
Additional Requirements
  • Position is remote; travel and driving record requirements are applicable.
  • Preferred experience in direct sales within Life Sciences or related fields and CRM funnel management.
Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $80,000 - $105,000, plus bonus/incentives. Comprehensive benefits include paid time off, health insurance, and 401(k). The role offers flexibility for remote work, with details provided during the interview process.
