Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Dimmitt Chevrolet in Clearwater, Florida is looking for a GM Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team! This is an outstanding opportunity to join a 100-year-old, highly regarded family-owned dealership. We offer a team environment, great benefits, and ongoing training and support.

We have more work than we can handle and book work a week out to keep the shop from getting overwhelmed.

We are offering Sign-on Bonuses/Relocation Expenses for technicians with GM Certifications. Amount based on experience and GM Certifications.

Pay: $85,000 - $120,000 / year based on experience

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and perform work efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Coordinate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Tag and save parts if under warranty or upon customer request.
• Assess vehicles for additional safety or service work.
• Communicate with service advisors about work scope and completion times.
• Document all work performed.
• Road-test vehicles when required or refer to test technicians.
• Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes and stay updated on technical bulletins.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and ensure dealership tools are accounted for.
• Follow safety policies and report accidents immediately.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of GM Technician experience required
• ASE Certification required
• Valid Florida driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to pass criminal background and pre-employment drug tests
