Job summary

Toyota Financial Services is seeking a General Manager of Data Science & ML to define, develop, deploy, and scale analytical capabilities across the organization. This leader will drive governance, standards, and strategic roadmaps for enterprise ML initiatives.

The role reports to the VP of Risk and leads a large team, partnering with business and technology executives to deliver measurable value while ensuring regulatory compliance and robust risk management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data science, ML, or applied analytics with leadership.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
• Ownership of ML lifecycle from design to production and deployment.
• Ability to translate business problems into strategic roadmaps and investments.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams.
• Governance, auditability, and regulatory awareness in analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 60-person enterprise data science and ML organization spanning multiple levels.
• Define talent strategy and learning programs for data science teams.
• Set enterprise standards and technical direction for modeling, deployment, and governance.
• Ensure end-to-end, auditable, production-grade ML systems and decisioning.
• Guide production-grade solutions on cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake.
• Partner with executives to define decision-support capabilities and business value.
• Oversee governance and risk management related to model development and deployment.
