Job summary

Burtness Chevrolet Buick GMC in Whitewater, WI is seeking experienced Automotive Technicians at the A- and B-Level to join our Service Department. We are a family-owned dealership with a strong reputation and a clean, modern facility that supports skilled technicians.

You will diagnose GM vehicles, perform maintenance and safety inspections, handle warranty and recall repairs per OEM guidelines, and document all work. You’ll stay current with GM training in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• A- or B-Level technician experience required.
• GM experience or GM certification strongly preferred.
• ASE certifications a plus.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Personal tool set; specialty tools provided by dealership.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair GM vehicles with accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform maintenance, safety inspections, and routine service work.
• Handle warranty and recall repairs according to OEM guidelines.
• Diagnose drivability concerns, electrical issues, and advanced systems (A-tech).
• Document all work performed with clarity and detail.
• Communicate with service advisors and team members regarding repairs.
• Test drive vehicles to verify concerns and confirm repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Stay current with GM training and evolving technology.
