About General Merchandise

Experts in operations, process, and efficiency, ensuring a consistent guest experience through product availability, accurate pricing, and presentation. The team manages inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and promotional signage for all store areas, including Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food-safe experience. They also support fulfillment operations like pick, pack, and ship.

Typical Responsibilities

• Greet guests authentically and create a welcoming environment
• Assist guests by understanding their needs through body language and verbal cues
• Engage with guests to enhance their shopping experience
• Maintain knowledge of store tools, products, and services to assist guests effectively
• Ensure sales floor is properly zoned, stocked, and accurately signed and priced
• Assist with inbound, replenishment, and signage processes
• Follow operational procedures, including planogram compliance and inventory accuracy
• Operate power equipment only if certified
• Support safety, ethics, and compliance standards
• Assist with guest services such as cashiering and digital fulfillment

Candidate Qualities and Skills

• Enthusiasm for working in a lively, team-oriented environment
• Passion for delivering excellent guest service
• Interest in stocking, setting, and selling products
• Comfort with physical tasks, including lifting up to 44 pounds and working in varying temperatures
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Requirements

• Accurate cash handling skills
• Ability to climb ladders and handle merchandise safely and efficiently
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varied shifts
