About General Merchandise

Role Overview

As a General Merchandise Expert, your typical day may include:

• Greeting guests authentically and offering assistance
• Understanding guest needs through body language and verbal cues
• Engaging with guests to understand their specific needs
• Being knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services
• Ensuring the sales floor is properly zoned, stocked, signed, and priced
• Executing inbound, replenishment, and signing processes
• Maintaining operational procedures like planogram (POG) and inventory accuracy
• Operating power equipment if certified
• Following safety and compliance policies
• Supporting guest services, including cashiering and digital fulfillment

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a fun, energetic environment and delivering excellent guest service
• Are interested in stocking, setting, and selling Target products
• Prefer a dynamic, non-traditional schedule with weekend work
