About General Merchandise

Our experts focus on operations, process efficiency, and ensuring a consistent guest experience through product availability, accurate pricing, and presentation. This team manages inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and promotional signage across all GM areas, including Food & Beverage and Food Service. They also support efficient delivery through fulfillment work.

The Role of a General Merchandise Expert

In this role, you will:

• Create a welcoming environment by greeting guests authentically.
• Observe and understand guest needs through body language and verbal cues.
• Engage genuinely with guests, asking questions to understand their needs.
• Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to assist guests effectively.
• Thank guests sincerely and acknowledge their shopping choice.
• Maintain the sales floor, ensuring products are stocked, signed, and accurately priced.
• Prioritize workload with leadership support based on business and guest needs.
• Set up signage and execute inbound, replenishment, and inventory processes.
• Follow operational procedures, including planogram (POG) compliance, to ensure inventory accuracy and profitability.
• Operate power equipment safely if certified.
• Adhere to safety, ethical, and compliance standards.
• Support guest services, including cashiering and digital fulfillment, while complying with legal regulations.
• Perform other duties as needed.
