Job summary

MitchellChamber is seeking an experienced operator to manage producing and maintaining gluers and related equipment in our converting operations in Mitchell, SD. You will oversee line performance, interpret standards, perform minor maintenance, and lead crewmembers with a focus on quality, safety, and SQF compliance.

Responsibilities include supervising staff with minimal direct supervision, ensuring equipment readiness, testing products, and maintaining documentation of standards.

• Motivates crew to ensure quality, safety, and SQF standards.
• Tests products to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Communicates product and work standards for production.
• Performs minor maintenance and authorized modifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates and holds overall responsibility for product outcomes associated with straight-line gluers, promotional gluers, and related peripheral converting equipment.
• Interprets and documents standards related to equipment and product performance/quality.
• Maintains equipment.
• Leader of assigned crewmembers.
• Supervision for position is random and minimal.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform equipment operations, adjustments, tests, and conversions of all primary/peripheral equipment associated with converting operations.
• Motivates crewmembers to ensure quality, efficiency, area cleanliness, safety, and SQF standards are maintained.
• Tests and inspects products as required to ensure consistent quality and operational standards.
• Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production.
• Maintains equipment by performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, adjustments, repairs, and authorized modifications.
