Job summary

Phoenix International Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Welder/Diver to perform surface and hyperbaric welding, with duties including maintenance of welding/NDT procedures and compliance with safety regulations.

The role may require worldwide travel on emergency callouts, work in a facility, on ships, or at remote job sites, and reports to the Diving Supervisor. Must maintain certifications and complete administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional diving school.
• Minimum five years underwater-welding experience supported by a qualification letter from an industry-recognized diving company.
• Must be a certified welder with current AWS D3.6 class A (dry weld) and class B (wet weld).
• Significant physical effort and exposure to physical risk.
• Ability to pass annual diving physical and obtain US government security clearance.
• Willingness to travel worldwide on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish tasks assigned by the Diving Supervisor and communicate when not qualified.
• Read and comply with Phoenix policies and applicable regulations for diving operations.
• Maintain welding and NDT proficiency as directed and in accordance with requirements.
• Maintain all government and Phoenix weld qualifications and documentation.
• Ensure diving equipment is maintained, tested, and ready before each dive.
• Keep a diver logbook with dives, medicals, courses, and equipment maintenance.
